Indigenous Representation

Introduction

I am part of this Parliament as an Indigenous woman, and I remain deeply conscious of that responsibility. I have used and will continue to use every opportunity to advocate for the rights and meaningful representation of Indigenous women and communities, whether through proposing the idea of a Living Indigenous Museum in my first parliamentary speech or contributing to the Intangible Cultural Heritage Bill. Protecting Indigenous identities, languages, traditions, and knowledge systems is essential to preserving our cultural heritage and ensuring that every community is meaningfully represented in Nepal's development.

Preserving Living Heritage

Representation goes beyond recognition. I believe Indigenous communities should actively participate in decisions affecting their culture and future. Preserving living traditions means supporting language, cultural practices, traditional knowledge, and the communities that continue to keep them alive.

Inclusive Development

Inclusive policymaking requires meaningful participation from Indigenous communities across governance, education, tourism, and cultural initiatives. By recognising their contributions and ensuring their voices are heard, we strengthen Nepal's national identity and social cohesion.

Final Thoughts

I remain committed to promoting policies that protect Indigenous heritage while creating opportunities for meaningful participation and inclusive national development.

Education

Education has shaped every stage of my journey, from my own academic experience to community development and public service. I believe every child, regardless of where they are born, deserves access to quality education that equips them with the knowledge, confidence, and opportunities to succeed.

Entrepreneurship

I believe entrepreneurship is one of the strongest drivers of economic growth, innovation, and opportunity. Nepal's young people have the talent and determination to build businesses that create jobs and solve real challenges.

Knowledge Series

I believe that informed citizens are essential to a strong democracy. Meaningful conversations, evidence-based discussions, and the open exchange of ideas help shape better policies and encourage greater public participation in national development.

Nepal As a Brand

A brand is more than a logo or a slogan. It is the story people associate with a country, the emotions it evokes, and the experiences it offers. Building Brand Nepal means telling our story with confidence, authenticity, and a clear vision for the future.

Women's Empowerment

When women have equal access to education, leadership, economic opportunities, and public life, families thrive, communities prosper, and the nation grows stronger.
