Information access to MSMEs
During a Zero Hour address in the House of Representatives, I highlighted the importance of strengthening support for Nepal's micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which form the backbone of our economy. While I welcomed the government's continued focus on this sector, I noted that many entrepreneurs, particularly young people and women, remain unaware of the grants, training programmes, startup support, and other opportunities available to them. I emphasised that Nepal's challenge is not a lack of opportunities, but a lack of access to information. Alongside developing effective policies, we must also ensure that citizens are informed about the support systems available to them. I called for regular reviews of how government programmes are communicated so that opportunities reach the people they are intended to serve.
